The Adventures of Miss Luna

Mum got a new toy today – a new thing that goes on the front of her camera. It’s pretty small so I don’t really know what the big deal is, I always thought that bigger is better? A bit like us!

Apparently it does cool stuff – in Mum’s words it has a ‘shallow depth of field’ which makes no sense to me cos there aren’t any fields around these parts (we live in the suburbs remember Mum) and it might just be me but aren’t shallow and deep total opposites? Silly humans.

Anyways, it called for a big important shoot of her favourite subject – me. Oh and Luna

Luna started off in true style by hiding in the bushes. Mum spotted her though and did some great spy work.

I’m not sure what’s so interesting in the bushes, but Luna sure does seem to spend a lot of time in there.

I however am quite happy to sit out in the open and pose for Mum. Here’s my best show dog impersonation!

What do you think my best feature is? I reckon it’s my lovely noggin…

Though I have to say, when Luna acts normal, she does have a pretty nice noggin herself.

Like I said though, only when she acts normal, which isn’t very often. She mostly looks like this…

And to finish up, one last photo of me, being very good and obedient in a sit stay! (I’m getting pretty good at this obedience stuff, I will have to get Mum to upload a new video sometime!)

Well Kaya has already told my story so I won’t tell you again, but I will tell you this. Having a broken toe SUCKS! Mum and Dad won’t let me go anywhere and do anything exciting, I can’t play with Kaya AND I don’t get taken for walks any more. Queen Kaya gets taken for private exclusive walks by Mum without me!! No fair!

When I go outside, Mum has to go with me and watch us so we don’t start running around. Plus it’s been raining so I have to wear a stupid plastic bag on my stupid foot so the stupid bandage doesn’t get wet.

On the plus side (and it’s a very small plus) we now have a nice new rug to lay on! Mum and Dad bought it cos we are doing lots of lying down lately plus it means we have more grip when we do training inside cos the floor is pretty slippery.

Well we haven’t really been doing much lately cos Luna is out of action, so no trips to the beach on weekends or outings to dog parks or anything exciting like that. It sucks!

We have been doing a bit of tricks and obedience training though and the other day we made videos of us. Mum cut up heaps of cheese into little squares and we both LOVE cheese so we were very motivated! Me especially!

We got one video each – Luna’s is really boring so you might not even want to watch that one. All she does is ‘touch’ and ‘paw’ cos she can’t walk around and jump up and down cos of her silly broken toe.

My video is fantastic and wonderful, of course. Except I slipped and slid around a bit on the floor so the next day Mum and Dad went out and bought an awesome rug so we don’t slide around so much! Anyway I do cool stuff like ‘sit’, ‘down’, ‘back’, ‘shake’ and ‘other one’ and catching treats. I rock!
