The Adventures of Miss Luna

My toys live on top of the fridge in a little bag. When we are sick of playing with the couple of toys we have, Mum or Dad puts them back and gets out some new ones. I especially like the squeakies!

Sometimes though, they are a bit slow in attending to my needs. This is how I communicate that it’s time to get me a new toy…

If that isn’t enough, I make sure I look up to the top of the fridge, then back at them again, very pointedly…

Sometimes though, it just isn’t enough. They don’t understand. Or sometimes, I think they do understand but they are just being mean! This is when I do the next series of poses, including looking thoughtfully out the window, followed by looking very, very sad and avoiding all direct eye contact.

All together, this technique is called in our household ‘chucking a sob act’ – and unfortunately for me, it doesn’t always work.

Poor, poor mistreated me.

While Mum was away on holidays, she asked Dad to take some photos of us. Turns out, his camera isn’t quite as good as Mum’s and gives us what Mum calls "Alien Eyes"!

Dad also likes to get some cool angles, we reckon Mum should do it too!

Well Mum is back from holidays finally! We missed her sooooo much. We’ve been going to the beach lots lately which is awesome – the weather has still been cold but not as rainy so lots of blue skies!

Mum’s in a hurry today – it’s Dad’s birthday! – and she needs to organise something for dinner tonight for him – but I talked her into posting a few pics from the weekend at the beach first.

Dad also took some funny photos of us while Mum was away so I will get Mum to post them soon.

Hi again! Luna and Kaya’s Mum, Charlotte here.

It’s Luna’s first birthday today and this is the second in a two-part birthday present blog post for my baby girl. Unfortunately I can’t be with her today and I am no doubt missing her (and Kaya of course) very much by now!

Luna I’m so sorry I can’t be with your on your very first birthday. Dad will give you big cuddles from me and you will get even more big cuddles when I get back! I hope you aren’t missing me too much and are both being good girls for Dad.

You slotted into our little family just so easily. We originally thought you were the boss, but over time we’ve learned that you only pretend to be big and tough and you actually follow Kaya around like she’s your idol. Kaya pretends to let you be boss, just cos that’s the kind of doggy she is!

You are serious, funny, silly, easily amused and always want to please us. You are so sweet with little doggies and yet stand your ground and don’t take cheek from the bigger dominant ones. You are always full of energy, bold and athletic, but also a little bit clumsy!

We love you just the way you are and I’m looking forward to spending lots more birthdays with you in the years to come. Big kisses!!! Love, Mum.
