Welcome to our photo blog! I'm Kaya, a two year old fawn Great Dane who lives in Australia. I have a sidekick (ok, sister) called Luna. Luna is a Great Dane too, coloured blue (the trendy name for grey) and one year old (nearly one and a half, she reminds me) and used to try and be a show dog. Now she does agility instead!
My special talent is modelling. I get lots of practice because our Mum is a dog photographer, so whenever she doesn't have other dogs to take photos of, she practices on us. I'm very talented at modelling and Luna is well, not quite so talented. She does try though.
We get to do lots of different things with our Mum and Dad - going to the beach is a definite favourite. We love sharing our many adventures with the world through our blog. Oh and we also love receiving comments - hope to hear from you soon!
Hey everyone! Let’s just keep this between you guys and me……. but I was getting sick of Mum not posting any photos cos of the accident with the black boxes so I took matters into my own paws and found some pics myself to post!!
Luna’s been annoying me lately a bit so I found some funny ones of her for your enjoyment… hehehee!
I’ll try and find some beautiful ones of me (shouldn’t be hard) and post them tomorrow!!
Ahliah - Did the axident wif the black boxxess cauze Lunas earz to fallz orf?

Courtney - I LOVE this site! I live just outside of Chicago, IL in the United States and I wish your mommy live here so she could photograph my Great Dane, Langley, with his brother and sister.
You two are so cute and I love your adventures. Kaya, you're such a good older sister. Luna, you're a cutie-pie. I hope your mommy gets her pictures fixed soon so we can see more of you two!!!
Best, Kisses and Snugs!
Courtney
Bella - Hi, Kaya & Luna! Sorry I haven't been by in so long - my mom has been a slacker lately. Hope you're all doing well, and thank goodness you didn't lose all those photos! My mom says hi, too.
The other day she brought home a new black box to attach to her computer. So she could back up all the photos. But then she plugged the black box in (it’s exactly the same as the black box she already has, that has all our photos on it) then did something stupid (though she blames the computer) and then next thing she had DELETED all our precious photos! The original black box was completely blank!
Luckily, she used what’s called a ‘data recovery’ (fancy name for ‘fixer of Mum’s stuff-ups’) program and she got all our photos back. It took days!
The only thing is, when Mum had all our photos on the black box, they were all organised and named and had all the pretty editing and effects you see. But now… all she has is one BIG folder with HEAPS of photos – all with funny names – all with no pretty editing done to them. She has a LOT of sorting out to do.
I don’t really understand this pic but Mum wanted to post it to show you how many photos she had to sort out before she started…
So, if she’s a bit slack with the posting, you’ll know why. We might just do some little posts in the meantime while she gets everything sorted out.
Ahliah - My dad sayz she should be backsing up to double layer DVDs whatever that means...
He sayz itz like having a new Cuz ball in the cupboard in case something happens to the one ur uthing, you can keep on playing without delayz...
Al - My sympathies to your Mom. It's too bad she couldn't recover the lightroom catalog, that would have enabled her to get back the changes she had made.
Ahliah - hehehehe
must be something wrong with your sis! I woulds have attacked the banging thing and tastes the little metal bitz.
Btw, I atez my Dads straw hat yesterday, lots of fun, so looks for them at your kennel.

Wordgrrl - I love the fact Kaya's lounging in the background, as if she's saying, "Oh, for heaven's sake, Luna! It's a hammer and nails!"
Wordgrrl - PS I like the videos! Keep 'em coming!!
Kimberly - Videos was on my list of things to see more of :) I love Luna's ears in this one!
Cheryl - We love videos, she is so pretty and her older Sissy just hangs out in the background!
Ruby Isabella - mmmm.... now Luna is aware of the nature of hammer and nails and the meaning of this in our lives. If only she had thumbs.
Pipa - Kaya's sooooo funny in this video!! I want to see more videos, of course! Obviously that I want to keep on drooling with your super fantastic pawsome photos, but this video is so funny (specially Kaya's ears going up and down with the noises!) that I want to see more!
Love,
Pipa
Susan in California - I love this puppy!!!! (and Kaya too, of course). She is so funny and seems so attached to Daddy whenever he's working on a project. Keep 'em coming!
Since Mum is so behind with her postings lately, this is about a month late, but she’s finally got around to posting about my birthday. Finally.
On the 9th of November, I turned 2 years old! Yay!
I had the suspicion something was up cos Mum came home one day and I was SURE I could smell new toys on her, but she didn’t hand them over! So rude. Anyway a few days later she said it was my barkday so that explained it – she was saving them up! I thought I better forgive her.
It was a weekend day so Mum and Dad were home all day – in the morning Mum made pancakes with special bonus ones for us in funny shapes which spelled out our names. My gosh they were soooo yummy! Except Luna ate one of my letters. So her new name is "Lunak" and mine is "Aya".
Then we got to open the presents! Mum wrapped them in paper which we LOVE to rip up but it got a bit messy and took a while so we finished off out in the front yard.
Mum did take some video but she’s having issues with a full computer "hard drive" (been eating a bit too much lately I think) so she will have to make special shortened version later sometime.
Later in the day we went to the beach and Mum made sure she told everyone she met that it was my barkday so I felt really special. I saw Zephyr there but he was pretty busy in his new job – fisherdog – so he didn’t really say much to me.
Anyway here is the one and only birthday photo – I’m even wearing my special birthday collar that I got last barkday!
Ahliah - Soooooo, what yu get???
I wants to kno!!!

Wordgrrl - Happy Barkday, sweet puppy! We love reading about you and your sister's adventures!
Hey, Charlotte... have you ever considered training Luna and Kaya to be therapy dogs? I bet they'd be great at it!
Heather in MN
Susan in California - Happy Barkday sweet Kaya. You're such a good older sister to Luna - sounds like you weren't too upset by her pilfering of the K to your name. Just remember she's younger and gets confused (and stares at the floor), so you it's nice that you forgive her. Love love love hearing about your adventures.
Rosalynne - Hope you had a great Barkday! I love the collar, you look so pretty in it!
Honey the Great Dane - Happy Birthday Kaya!
I loved the story about Luna eating your letter - so funny!!
Hope you had great fun opening your presents - my humans also wrap up my presents in that special paper and I just LOVE tearing it off!! :-)
Can't wait to see the video -
Slobbers,
Honey the Great Dane
Arabella - Happy Birthday Kaya!
I've been waiting for you to post about your birthday, it's been almost a whole month! I'm glad you had a good time and got some pressies. I loved my birthday. I can't believe she took your K, it's my favorite letter.
Loves,
Arabella
Emilee - Happy belated barkday, Kaya! Buddy sends big kisses your way (and I do, too!)! You two really would make excellent therapy dogs.
Maura - Happy Belated Barkday! Tearing the paper off of presents is super fun and so are pancakes that spell out your name! Sounds like a super day!
