You might remember our friend Maple from a post a while ago from when we first met her. We have seen Maple a couple of times since, but this time we went for a trip to the beach and found out we have a lot more in common than we first thought.
Just because we went to the beach with Maple and her Mum and Dad, didn’t mean we could forget our manners. We had to stay in the car and wait until Dad said ‘OK’ (after which we raced off like lunatics – not pictured).
After we got to the beach we were straight into the water!
Luna and I decided to show off a little and got stuck into fetching sticks.
Turns out Miss Maple had a few tricks of her own!
This water baby has really awesome hair, it’s longer than ours and almost turns into silk in the water, very cool!
Plus, she not only swims, she DIVES! Her Dad shows her where to go…
And next thing, she’s underwater!
Pretty amazing huh! A trick we need to practice I think!
Luna tried to draw some attention by doing her statue impersonation.
Not to be totally out-done, I thought I better dig one of my famous holes. The wetter, the better!
Maple just keep fetching stuff from the water. Her parents found a plastic shovel. She fetched it from the deep water, even in waves from passing boats! This girl is like a fish in the water.
Dad jumped in for a swim so we had to follow him of course.
While Maple decided she had had enough, and went for a run along the beach to dry off.
We had a great time at the beach with Maple! She’s a real water baby, just like us. I hope she gets to visit again soon!
