Well I’ve been promising for ages that you’ll get to meet my other special friend from out at the horsies, so here she is! She’s a little bit camera shy (not an old hand like me) so she did try and hide, but Mum got her anyway…

You’ll never guess what her name is – it’s the same as my Mum’s name – Charlotte! Little Charlotte likes hanging out with us doggies and joins in on our stick games. She fits in well, she’s about the same height as I am!

She always makes sure Rocky doesn’t feel left out, what a considerate girl.

Mum seemed to think that we were cute and that we deserved some photos together. I was pretty tired out from running around with Sparky, so I happily obliged. I’m not sure what little Charlotte was doing here though. Warming up I think.

I gave her some tips and our next attempt was better. I told jokes to try and make her smile and it actually worked!

I thought I better show my appreciation for her laughing at my poor jokes.

We tried a different pose and finally got one Mum was happy with – what a cool pair we are!

You guys might have heard me talk about Orbit before. Orbit is a blue Great Dane like me and belongs to my Mum’s best friend. He and I are just one day apart in age (my birthday is coming up on the 8th of August by the way)!
Anyway me and Orbit have never met cos we live a really long way away from each other (it would take a whole day in the car to get there), but hopefully one day we will. I hope he is just as nice as he looks in the photos, he’s certainly very handsome, don’t you agree?

Orbit loves his Mum just like I love mine, pretty cool that we are both family-oriented kinda doggies!

Anyways, Orbit’s Mum has entered him in a competition! The competition is kinda like an ‘election’ – which means that your doggy has to be promoted and voted in to become the new face of Advocate – which is a brand of flea and tick protection. I don’t like fleas and ticks much – I’ve never had a tick but I’ve heard they aren’t very nice – though I may have had a few fleas in my time (shhh!) and they certainly weren’t very pleasant!
If my boyf.. uh… Orbit.. can be the face of a company that keeps those nasty critters away from us doggies, then I think that’s definitely a good thing! If you want to vote for him, please click the banner below.
We will return to our regular programming soon – I can’t wait for you to meet another one of my friends from the horsey place!
Out at the horsies, I have lots of friends. Because people come and go all the time, they aren’t all there at the same time, but there is usually someone to play with! One of my favourite friends is a little doggy called Sparky.

Now usually I don’t play with little doggies very much, mostly cos they are scared of me and don’t really know what to make of me when I tower over them. I can’t help it! But I think Sparky sees me as just another doggy, not a big doggy, and that’s fine with me.

Me and Sparky have a couple of very important things in common. We both love sticks…

And we both love chasing, and being chased, especially with sticks!

Another good thing about Sparky is that he’s not afraid of a good bit of rough-and-tumble. I swear he’s the one who starts it!

All I’m doing is defending myself!

Raaaar! Do I look scary?

Scary enough, apparently! I rolled him! Definitely a win for me this time..

Though he recovers pretty quick and makes a bolt for it!

Sometimes me and Sparky just like to hang out for a bit together (preparing for round two, and three!).

While he marvels at the size of my tongue.

Next up, another one of my friends at the horsey place! Bet you can’t wait to meet her!
Some of you might know that as well as me, Mum also has a real horsey. His name is Rocky, and lately Mum has been taking me with her when she goes out to see him. Here is is after he’s been playing in the mud, which he loves (we have a fair bit in common).

Rocky is a pretty cool dude and doesn’t mind when I run all around him and under his legs. I know that not all horsies are like that though so I am pretty careful with the ones I don’t know! Me and Rocky are good mates though.

I really love going out to see the horsies – there is so much to smell and see and I’ve made lots of friends there too (lots more piccies to come of all my friends later on). The only thing I don’t like is the scary thing that zaps me every now and then – I’ve been zapped a few times now and it really HURTS! But I think I’m starting to work it out, just gotta keep away from the white tape fences and I’m all good!

Sometimes when we go out the horsies, Mum gets Rocky all geared up and we go for a big ride in a massive paddock out the back of where the horses are kept. Well, Mum rides, I get to run along beside and explore! There are also cows out there but when Mum sees them she makes sure I walk next to her her Rocky so I don’t annoy them too much. Mum says she will try and get photos of where we ride one day, but it’s very hard trying to take photos with her big camera, and riding a horse at the same time!
Most of the time when we go out to see Rocky though, we just do stuff like brushing him and moving him from paddock to paddock, feeding him and taking his clothes on and off.
I like to help out where I can.

Stay tuned for more of my adventures at the horsey place!
